I started Awakening Roots in 2019, during a time of deep remembering.
I had just discovered my shamanic lineage—my great-grandmother, a healer in the Amazon, and my grandmother, a macumbeira who worked with energy and ritual. I was learning tarot, working with ancestral spirits, and diving into what I now call neo-ancestral shamanism.
It was Amanita that cracked me open. A magical awakener.
But it also humbled me. Because I realized I wasn’t meant to be anyone’s shaman. I wasn’t here to lead people—I was here to build the bridge for them to find themselves again.
