About Awakening Roots

Awakening Roots exists to reconnect people with themselves through a deeper relationship with nature.

Amanita is one of our greatest teachers, but never the destination—it is one of many ways nature invites us to observe, learn, and grow.

Much like the forest itself, Amanita reminds us that everything is connected.

Beneath the surface, mycelium weaves unseen pathways that support growth, balance, and renewal.

We hope to build the same kind of network—one rooted in education, curiosity, and trust—so others can reconnect with their own inner roots.

Awakening Roots began in 2019 as a small wellness shop creating castile herbal soaps, wild-foraged balms, and handcrafted herbal remedies. As a Certified Herbalist, MarLucia has always been passionate about learning from plants and sharing that knowledge with others.

Everything changed when our family began searching for another way forward.

That search led us to Amanita. Its impact inspired us to learn everything we could, but finding high-quality, trustworthy Amanita proved surprisingly difficult.

What began as one small part of our herbal shop soon became our true calling: offering responsibly sourced Amanita alongside honest education, compassion, and transparency.

More than offering beautiful mushrooms and thoughtfully prepared products, we want to provide understanding.

Our Mission

At Awakening Roots, we believe understanding comes before consumption.

Our role extends far beyond offering products.

It’s to help people ask better questions, build a deeper relationship with nature, and discover what observation can teach us about ourselves.

We don’t claim to have every answer.

We simply share what we’ve learned, continue asking questions, and invite others to explore alongside us.

Whether your path leads you to Amanita, herbalism, or simply a quieter relationship with the natural world, we’re honored to walk beside you.
